*This price covers the event itself. This price does not include travel fees if you are attending with a church group outside the Cincinnati area. Please contact your youth ministry for any additional fees.

Please download the waiver and return to SOS with the instructions included. Every participant is required to complete a Medical Waiver Form.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Individual registration is not refundable after the registration deadline, Monday, May 22, 2017.

Schedule

SOS starts on Monday, June 19, 2017 at 7:00pm. You can check-in between 3-6pm. There will be a mandatory leader meeting at 6:00pm.

All morning services will begin at 9:00am (Tuesday-Friday) with evening services starting at 6:30pm.

What To Bring

Packing List

  • Appropriate clothing for hot weather (that is also appropriate for a church event)

We offer host homes to groups attending SOS from outside the Cincinnati area. Host homes are available on a first come first serve basis. Host homes can only be requested once your group has registered and paid for SOS. For host home questions, please email soshosthomes@gmail.com and include “Host Homes” in the subject line.

Meal Plans

Option 1: SOS Onsite Meal Plan

We are excited to partner again with Chick fil A, Skyline Chili and Jack’s Catering to provide the food for Summer of Service!

Meal Plan: Covers dinner Tuesday through Friday.

Cost: $40

This meal plan does not cater to dietary needs.


Option 2: Offsite Meal Plan

There are several fast food restaurant options within walking distance of Vineyard Cincinnati Church.


Option 3: Vineyard Cincinnati Cafe

While not designed to be your comprehensive meal for the week, you are free to fill up on the hearty snacks of your choosing. The Cafe is open during Free Time and Meal Time to purchase items.

FAQs

What does the registration fee cover?

The registration fee covers admission to the event, conference materials, buses to and from the outreach locations, and lunch Tuesday-Friday.

What is the Meal Plan and how much does it cost?

The Meal Plan includes dinner Tuesday - Friday. The plan is an extra $40 and you can opt for this when prompted during the online registration process. We partner with Chick-Fil-A, Skyline Chili and Jack’s Catering. The dinner Meal Plan does not cater to dietary needs/restrictions.

What if I have a food allergy?

The lunch which is included in your registration fee will be sensitive to any dietary need or restriction. Please provide this information when prompted in the online registration. The dinner Meal Plan does not cater to dietary needs/restrictions.

Do I have to attend every day in order to participate?

We encourage participants to attend the whole week to gain the full experience SOS has to offer. However, we realize life is busy and not everyone can commit to the whole week. We ask that you first talk to your church youth pastor and then register accordingly. However, we do not provide a partial discount for partial participation.

Who can attend SOS?

All incoming 7th through 12th grade students are welcome to attend SOS. Seniors that have just graduated the same year as the event are asked to attend as volunteers or group leaders.

Is my student safe?

Yes. Your student’s safety is important to us. We go to great lengths to make sure all our environments are safe for the participants. Your student will be placed with a group and a group leader. This group travels together the entire week to all the outreaches. Each outreach is staffed with a trained adult as well as several other adult volunteers.
